So you and your partner broke up, and now all you can think about is how to win them back? Lucky for you, there are some key ways to win them back.
My name is Brad Browning and I’m a relationship coach from Vancouver, Canada. You may recognize me from another one of my videos or know of my best selling The Ex Factor Program. Today I’m going to share with you the three things you can do to make your ex want you again.
So, without further adieu, let’s get started.
The first and perhaps most important thing you need to do if you want your ex to want you back, is to not chase them.
Now you may be thinking, “Well obviously,” or “But how else am I going to get them back?” so let me explain. The thing is, your ex expects you to chase after them so by doing the opposite you’ll not only surprise them, but it’ll also re-spark their interest in you.
Since your ex is used to having you around, when you cut off ties with them they won’t know what hit them. But in order for this to work, it means putting a stop to all phone calls, texts, Facebook lurking and messages, Snapchat shots, hangs out… the works. It you can do this successfully for at least 30 days, then your ex will without doubt miss you and wonder where you are and what’s going on in your life.
Even if you’re dying to get back together with your ex, don’t be the one to show it. Incessantly calling or messaging them will turn them off you. No one wants to date someone who’s desperate or clingy. So play it cool and distance yourself for a while. Spending this time apart will also give your ex the chance to forget about all the negative things in your relationship that caused the breakup, and replace them will good memories.
If you’re worried that they may forget about you during this time, they won’t, as long as you play your cards right.

This is a pretty challenging position to be in. And there are so many people on Love Advice TV who empathize with you, telling yourself, “My ex moved on, I don’t know what to do now.”
When it comes to your ex moving on, we want to start by saying this is not easy. And if you feel your ex has truly moved on, we feel for you. We know how painful it is. That doesn’t mean you can’t survive this, and grow from it, and a become better version of yourself from it.
When it comes to moving on, it’s a relative term. Who’s to really say that someone has moved on? Although it might look like he or she has based on the videos that they’re putting on their social media, or a new person that they’re spending their time with, it’s not so easy to really tell whether or not your ex has moved on. And I think so many people in breakups assume that their exes have moved on, sooner than they actually have, because they are second guessing themselves. And because our self-esteem isn’t too high, we assume that they’re going to move on. “Obviously, you’re going to move on. Obviously you’re going to find someone better. Someone different than me.”
But more often than not, that is our mind playing tricks on us, telling us that we are unworthy, that we are undeserving, that they are undoubtedly going to find someone better, and more compatible with them.
So if you’re watching this video saying, “Listen, I don’t really know if my ex has moved on. But, I imagine they have because we haven’t chatted in a little while,” then don’t get ahead of yourself.
Don’t assume one thing unless you actually know it. But, just because your ex has or hasn’t moved on, doesn’t mean that this road map isn’t the same. And believe it or not, whether you’re trying to get your ex back or you’re trying to move on yourself, the very beginning of this journey begins the same way, and that is with personal development.
The relationship you desire lies in how good of a relationship you have with yourself. And if you’re trying to re-establish a bond with a previous partner, the real way to do that, securely and stably, is by reigniting a relationship with you first, by understanding what went wrong, by understanding the challenges and difficulties your relationship phased, and by incorporating really healthy, long-term solutions to them.
If you’re saying, “My ex moved on,” and wondering what to do next, the real answer starts with you.
Spend time assessing what went wrong, and growing from it. The pain will only be worth it if you grow from it.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is Brad Browning aka ‘Breakup Brad’ here… welcome to this video, where I’ll be sharing the top 3 signs that indicate you’ve got zero chance of ever getting back together with your ex. It’s a bit of a depressing topic, but I’m confident that most of you out there watching this video right now will NOT have to worry, because you won’t have seen any of these signs from your ex already…. So for most of you beautiful people watching, you’re actually going to feel a bit better about your chances by the time this brief video is over.
Sign #1 that indicates you’re never going to get your ex back is….
Your ex has remarried! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, if your ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend… or even your ex-husband or ex-wife… if they’ve tied the knot with someone else since your breakup, then sadly it is OVER and it’s time for you to move on. I doubt anyone watching this is facing this kind of situation, but I have had a few clients in the past who were trying to win back an ex that had already remarried… sadly, in those very rare cases, it’s time to accept the reality of things and give up.
Sign #2… your ex has filed a restraining order or other legal proceedings against you. I know you probably think this is pretty obvious, but you’d be amazed how irrational some people can become in the aftermath of a tough breakup. Most mistakes, like begging and pleading, can be overcome if you have a solid game plan and stop making those kinds of mistakes quickly enough…. But if you’re at the point where police become involved, where there’s any kind of legal restriction on you because of something you did or said to your ex… well, I’m sorry, but it’s time to move on. There’s usually a pretty good reason when your ex takes that kind of drastic step to keep you away, so it’s best to just give up and avoid further problems.
Time to move on to Sign #3…. when it’s been more than a YEAR since your breakup, and you have NO WAY to contact your ex because they’ve blocked your number, moved out of town, or just disappeared completely.
Now, please note that I specifically qualified this one by saying “when it’s been more than a year”… that’s because often, right after a breakup, your ex may disappear on you and stop responding to calls and texts. If that’s in the first month or two — maybe even several months later — then you may still have a chance of getting them back, especially if you know through mutual friends or word of mouth that your ex is still around and living in the same town. BUT… when you start talking about a year or more after the breakup… at that point, if your ex has completely shut you out of their life by changing their phone number, blocking you on social media, moving to the other side of the country…. Then unfortunately 99% of the time, that’s game over for your chances of winning them back.
Now, you’ve learned about 3 signs that indicate you’ll never be able to win back your ex… I bet you’re not facing any of those 3 situations yourself, are you? See, I told you that by the end of this video, you’d be feeling a little more optimistic about your chances. Look, in almost every single scenario, you’re going to need to cut off the lines of communication with your ex for a little while. I typically recommend 30 days, and there’s some research that supports that number…. but you may need to stop interacting with your ex for even longer than that, depending on your situation… take that quiz I just mentioned to find out how long you should ignore your ex for.
Either way, now is the time to go ‘cold turkey’ on your ex and employ my No Contact strategy…. Trust me, it works, and it’s an important first step because it will help your ex reach what I call “Emotional Neutral”… it’s designed to set the stage and make sure your ex is receptive to what comes next.
STEP 3 — Use those 30 days productively.
Alright, you’ve got some time on your hands, because you’re not contacting your ex for 30 days or so…. But it’s not time to sit around the house crying and feeling sorry for yourself, folks. That’s what your ex expects of you, and it’s only going to hurt your chances.

Instead, you need to do something contrary to what your ex is expecting. Nobody wants to get back together with a loser who spends their Saturday nights watching Family Guy re-runs…. Which is exactly why you need to do the opposite.
Now is the time to be as social as you possibly can… get out of the house as often as possible, hang out with friends and family, keep busy, take up a hobby, join a club, go on dates even if you don’t feel like it…. Be productive and social.
Trust me, this part is crucial, even if it sounds dumb right now.
STEP 4 — Stop yourself from doing anything dumb.
Let’s quickly cover some things you need to prevent yourself from doing…
No begging, pleading, or apologizing over and over.
No angry messages out outbursts, and no trying to get ‘revenge’ on your ex.
No drama or initiating long, drawn-out “serious talks” with your ex…. In fact, don’t talk to your ex about your relationship or your breakup at all.
